Crime Prevention

Crime prevention starts with YOU. Everyone wants to live in a city that is a safe and protected place. Where kids and family members can walk and play. This site is going to give you some way to protect your family and friends.

Crime prevention is the attempt to deter crime and prevent anyone from committing a crime.  Albion has a variety of suggestions on how to reduce crime in the city. Such as community policing, where the community and police officers create a partnership to prevent and reduce crime in our city.

You can take your first step by if you know of any illegal activity call the silent observer line 517-629-2700.

Citizens of Albion can also join Neighborhood Watch in their district.


There are multiple resources you can join that will keep you connected to your neighborhood:

        • Join the NextDoor program, it is a neighborhood watch program.  Later your neighbors may help watch your house while you are away.
        • Has ideas of carpooling, help with missing pets, etc.
        • This is a General Guide to the City of Albion. Find out what activities are going on in Albion.
        • Get notices from Albion Public Safety to provide more timely information to the community by using Nixle.
          • A Nixle message will be posted to the Department's Facebook page, the Department's new Twitter account, and by email or text.
